Saudi Arabia Gran Prix F1 Betting Tips

More full-throttle action is expected at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix this weekend as the 2025 Formula 1 season gathers momentum. McLaren’s duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris continue to lead the way in the Drivers and Constructors Championships. Max Verstappen and George Russell are hot on their heels, though, and a win here could shake up the standings. Who will come out on top at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit? This race begins at 6 pm on Sunday. It will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Form

Lando Norris holds a slender lead at the top of the Drivers’ Championship. He is ahead of McLaren teammate Piastri by just three points. Norris has been in excellent form so far in this campaign, winning the Australian Grand Prix and sealing three successive podium spots. Piastri has also impressed and won two of the last three races in China and Bahrain. The McLaren duo have capitalised on Verstappen’s slow start to 2025. The four-time world champion has won one Grand Prix victory this season and finished second in Australia. However, finishing outside the podium spots in China and Bahrain has raised question marks over the Red Bull star. Below the three-way battle at the top of the Drivers Championship standings, Mercedes’ Russell has quietly been notching points and has secured three podium finishes from the four races in 2025.

Race Winner Bet

The previous pre-race bookmaker odds in the new F1 season have been close between Verstappen, Norris and Piastri. But there’s been a change in outlook for the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, and Verstappen’s race winner odds have declined massively. Following his slower than usual start to 2025, the bookmakers are viewing Verstappen with less confidence than before. SpreadEx are one of several bookies that have a win for the Red Bull man at 10/1. Although he shouldn’t be completely written off, having won this race twice in the previous three seasons. After securing two wins already this season, Piastri is the standout favourite ahead of the Saudi Grand Prix. The McLaren driver has hit top form early in the 2025 season and looks well-placed to do well in race five of the campaign. AK Bets have a potential Piastri win at 6/4 odds, but it’s worth noting that the Australian has a patchy record in Saudi Arabia. He finished fourth last season and 15th in his maiden race here in 2022. Few drivers have been able to match Norris’ consistency recently, and we feel the Englishman is worth backing to win in Saudi Arabia on Sunday. Norris is the only racer who has sealed a podium finish in all four races this season. He has carried a strong finish to the 2024 campaign into this season also, winning two of his last five Grand Prix races. The Drivers Championship leader is driving with confidence, and we are expecting him to hit top form at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit and win again. At 6/4, Star Sports also have pretty decent odds for a Norris Saudi Arabia Grand Prix victory.

Podium Finish Betting

With the top three racers going toe to toe in the first four races of the 2025 F1 campaign, Mercedes’ Russell has gone somewhat under the radar. However, it’s been a very steady season for the English racer. He has finished in the top three in three of the opening four Grand Prix races. To add to his consistency, Russell hasn’t finished lower than fifth in any of the last five Formula 1 races. The bookies don’t seem to favour another top-three finish in Saudi, so there is excellent value in this market on Sunday. Currently, punters can get 11/8 odds for a Russell podium finish at Bet365

Points Finish Bets

Looking further down the field, Pierre Gasly looks like a good bet to finish inside the points positions in Jeddah. The Alpine driver is always in or around the top 10 and hasn’t finished lower than 13th in seven of his previous nine Grand Prix races. During this run, the French racer has also secured points five times. Gasly was also back to form in Bahrain and finished seventh — his best place of the 2025 season so far. Jeddah Corniche Circuit is a venue where Gasly has had recent success too, sealing points in three of his previous four here. At 6/5 with Ladbrokes, it’s worth backing the Alpine driver to get amongst the points for a second consecutive race.
