Premier League Season Betting Preview and Bet Tips 2021/22
After last season’s strange football season, the 2021/22 is only a couple of weeks away from commencing, so we thought now is the right time to have a look at the betting and see what bet tips we can find. We have decided to write a full 2021/22 Premier League betting preview with the goal to find some good value bets and hopefully make some profit from those bets.
With Manchester City winning the title last season quite comfortably, they will be the team everyone wants to beat, but the competition will be a hotly contested one as clubs squads get more and more quality in them. There certainly will be lots of twists and turns and plenty of shocks, surprises and tears as we wind our way through the season. So, we’ll go through the betting with you, and hopefully we can pick some profitable, and good value betting tips to hopefully help you get one over the bookies and get some betting profit.
The first betting market we’ll look at is probably the most popular one and what you would expect us to look at first, the 2021/22 Premier League winners betting market. As you would probably expect here, Manchester City are clear favourites with the bookmakers to retain their title, with the best odds being 4/5 with SportNation. We tend to agree with the bookies here and do think they will be hard to get past, but it doesn’t offer a great deal of betting value, so the short price may put people off. If you are looking for a bet that offers a bit more value, we like the look of Chelsea, who last season shown some promising signs under new manager Thomas Tuchel, who made them very hard to score past and beat. For Chelsea to win the league you will be able to get odds as big as 6/1 with SBK currently, and we think that does offer a nice bit of betting value, although it is worth mentioning they don’t have each way terms on those odds.
At the other end of the table we have the relegation betting markets and this also looks fascinating and could find a bit of betting value. It may come as no surprise that the 3 favourites in the betting are the 3 teams that got promoted from the Championship after last season, Brentford, Norwich and Watford. Maybe a little surprisingly, Brentford aren’t the favourites to be relegated, Norwich and Watford are ahead of them in the betting, and you can get betting odds of 7/5 with SBK to be relegated. We do think that is a fair bet and also like the look of Crystal Palace failing to avoid the drop this season and like the look of the odds of 15/8 BetVictor are offering here. One little bet that might be interesting is one only Bet365 and VBet are offering, and that is to avoid relegation. The odds are not great, but the 5/6 both bookies are offering on Norwich City to avoid relegation could be a good bet.
For the next bet, we are going back up to the business end of the table and looking at the top 4 finishing spots betting. For the last 2 seasons Leicester City have been knocking at the door but have run out of petrol and the end of the season and finished 5th both times. Champions League football is a clear goal for the club and as they have strengthened the squad, kept key players and kept manager Brendan Rodgers, so we expect them to go one better this season and get a top 4 finish. For this bet a number of bookmakers are offering 9/2 including Sporting Index and Boylesports, so you have plenty of choice here with who to bet with.
Another popular betting market is the Premier League top goalscorer betting market. This is another fascinating market, as at the moment the future of betting favourite Harry Kane is still unclear. If the all the rumours turn out to be true then Kane should be making a massive money move to Manchester City, however nothing has been agreed yet and Kane has failed to return to training with Tottenham, according to reports, so this could end up a long-drawn-out affair. If a move to Manchester City does happen in the near future, the odds of 10/3 that Bet365 and VBet are offering then could be some good value. Another player that may be in contention though is Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He’s been a reliable source of goals for Arsenal in the past, and any improvement in the team’s form could really boost his goal tally. Currently, you can get odds of 25/1 with William Hill and BetVictor, so even an each-way bet here could bring in some nice betting profits.
We do hope that you have found our free betting tips useful and can find some winning bets from our Premier League betting preview. We never promise to find winning bets, but we do try to find genuine betting value and tips which would hopefully lead to long term betting profits. To help make your betting go further as well, you should also have a look at our UK free bets guide, so you can claim betting offers and free bets and bet with the bookies money instead of your own.
