Red Bull duo Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have fully taken control of the driver standings in recent races. One of the pair has won the last five races, with Verstappen claiming first in four of these. The upturn in form has seen the early challenge from Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc fall behind, as the young drivers have struggled to reclaim a solid start to the season. In the constructors’ championship, Red Bull remains firmly in control, and they are 80 points ahead of second-place Ferrari, while defending champions Mercedes are over 100 points behind in third.
