BMW PGA Championship Golf Betting Tips 11/09/2025

BMW PGA Championship Golf Betting Tips

The European Tour’s flagship event returns to Wentworth Club in Surrey as the BMW PGA Championship takes centre stage from Thursday, September 11, to Sunday, September 14, 2025. So, it’s time, yet again, for our BMW PGA Championship Golf Betting Tips. A strong field will gather for one of the most prestigious events on the DP World Tour, with Ryder Cup points, world ranking spots, and a significant prize purse all up for grabs. Sky Sports will provide live coverage of all four rounds from Wentworth’s famous West Course across the weekend.

Form

Rory McIlroy remains the headline act heading into this year’s BMW PGA Championship. The world number two has enjoyed another excellent campaign on both sides of the Atlantic, winning the Masters, the Players and succeeding at the Irish Open last weekend. McIlroy’s record at Wentworth is also encouraging, with multiple top-10 finishes and a victory in 2014. Another British player, Tommy Fleetwood, has become a serious force at the top of the PGA recently. The Englishman has notched regular top-five finishes, including a tie for second at the Travellers and a third-place finish at the St. Jude. Fleetwood has yet to win the BMW PGA, but the 34-year-old has all the tools to break through on home soil. Another potential favourite ahead of the BMW PGA Championship is Jon Rahm. Already a Masters champion and multiple-time winner on both the PGA and DP World Tours, the Spanish player has the power and precision to dominate at Wentworth. With top 10 finishes at the PGA Championship and US Open this year, Rahm has shown his ability to mix it at the top of the leaderboards at the big events.

Outright Winner Bet

It’s clear to see why Rory McIlroy is the pre-tournament favourite at the BMW PGA Championship. The Northern Irishman will be on a high following an excellent Irish Open victory last weekend, and he has finished T7 or better in his last three UK-based competitions. McIlroy has odds of 7/1, offered by AK Bets, to win the BMW PGA Championship this year. However, we are tipping Tour Championship winner Tommy Fleetwood to secure the title in Wentworth. This will be Fleetwood’s first tournament since his PGA Tour triumph in August, where he won with a three shot lead. Fleetwood has been supremely consistent recently, finishing T4, T3 and first in his previous three competitions. The 34 year old has also won seven times previously on the DP World Tour circuit and heads to Wentworth following T12 and T6 finishes on his last two appearances. Fleetwood is a crowd favourite, and that could spur him on to consecutive tournament victories here. At 103/10, Matchbook have the best odds for another Fleetwood win.

Top 10 Finish Betting

Aaron Rai looks like an excellent candidate for a top-10 finish at Wentworth. The Englishman has been quietly impressive throughout 2025, with a string of solid performances on the PGA Tour. Rai has shown he belongs among the elite on occasion, with top-five finishes in Mexico and at the Wyndham Championship highlighting his progress. The West Course at Wentworth, with its tree-lined fairways and emphasis on accuracy, should suit Rai’s controlled style of play. If the Englishman can find his rhythm, then 12/5, provided by SpreadEx, looks like a standout pick for Rai at Wentworth.

To Make the Cut Bet

Billy Horschel makes a much-anticipated return to action at Wentworth. The defending champion and two-time winner of the BMW PGA Championship has not played competitively in five months following right hip surgery. Before his break, the American showed flashes of strong form, with a tie for fourth at the Valspar Championship and a respectable T27 at the RBC Heritage. Horschel knows the West Course intimately and has the experience to negotiate its challenges. While rust is always a question after injury, his course knowledge and pedigree suggest he can safely navigate the cut line. At 4/7 with Star Sports, Horschel to make the weekend represents solid betting value.
