Bahrain Grand Prix F1 Betting Tips

After just three races, the 2025 Formula 1 season is heating up and the action continues with the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, so here’s our Bahrain Grand Prix F1 Betting Tips. Max Verstappen and Lando Norris have put themselves apart as the early challengers in the Driver’s Championship. However, Oscar Piastri isn’t far behind the leading pair, and all three will be looking to get more early points on the board in Bahrain. This race begins at 4 p.m. it will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Form

The 2024 Driver’s Championship winner, Verstappen and last season’s runner-up Norris are challenging at the top of this season’s standings. Verstappen leads Norris by just one point currently, as both drivers have notched one race win this season. Trailing in third place is Norris’ McLaren teammate Piastri, who has also sealed a race victory in 2025. Other consistent contenders early in the 2025 campaign are Mercedes’ George Russell and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Russell has finished inside the top five in all three Grand Prix races this year, while Leclerc finished fifth in China and fourth at the Japanese Grand Prix last week.

Race Winner Bet

Once again, the bookies have the Bahrain Grand Prix down as a potential three-way race. Similar to last week’s Japanese Grand Prix, the bookmakers also have the McLaren duo of Norris and Piastri as the likely winners. Piastri has bounced back from a disappointing ninth-place finish in the Australian Grand Prix to seal first place in China and third at the Japanese Grand Prix. However, the Australian driver doesn’t have the best record in Bahrain, finishing eighth last season and retiring on his debut here in 2023. Despite this record, Betfred have a Piastri win on Sunday at 9/4. Norris remains the outright favourite to win his second Grand Prix of 2025. The Englishman is the form driver currently, finishing first or second in his last four races. Yet, like Piastri, Norris’ record in Bahrain doesn’t inspire confidence, and he has finished 15th, 17th and sixth in his three here. This hasn’t put Sky Bet off from giving Norris 13/8 odds of sealing a first career victory in Bahrain. After last week’s triumph, Verstappen will be confident of building momentum this season. The Red Bull driver has won three of the last seven Grand Prix races, and his record in Bahrain is strong. Verstappen has won the last two Bahrain Grand Prix races and looks a good pick to seal a third consecutive victory on Sunday. At 4/1, Bet365’s odds for a potential Verstappen win look like the best race winner bet.

Winning Team Betting

Although Verstappen is building solid race form in 2025, he has had little support from his fellow Red Bull drivers. Liam Lawson was dropped from Red Bull after finishing 15th and 16th in the Australian and Chinese Grand Prix races. His replacement, Yuki Tsunoda, also finished outside the points in Japan. As a result, Red Bull are third in the Constructors’ Championship and have shown few signs of challenging early this season. It’s difficult to see Red Bull winning in Bahrain either, and AK Bets have 7/2 odds for the six-time winners to seal victory on Sunday. Ultimately, Piastri and Norris of McLaren are the men of the moment and can do little wrong in Formula 1. The McLaren pair have started this season in excellent form and have sealed a combined 111 points from just three races. There’s no reason to step off of a McLaren team win in Bahrain, with Norris and Piastri in such good form, and Coral’s 2/5 odds could lead to a decent bankroll builder bet this weekend.

Points Finish Bet

Outside the top three challenge this season, Alex Albon has been quietly notching up points for Williams in the middle of the pack. Albon made a stunning start to the campaign with a fifth-place finish in the Australian Grand Prix. The former Red Bull racer followed this with a pair of ninth places at the Chinese and Japanese Grand Prix races. Albon continues to surprise this season, and he is worth sticking with to secure another top-10 finish in Bahrain. Backing Albon to get amongst the points also has good value, with Betfred posting 8/11 odds.
